About Me

Hello, I'm Amanda!

As a massage therapist, I believe that everyone can benefit from manual therapy. I was first introduced to body mechanics as a student at Aquinas college, where I majored in Exercise Science and Athletic Training. My participation in high school and collegiate level sports has helped me to always appreciate manual therapy and its benefits. I approach massage with an open mind, plus a sprinkle of sports medicine and a heavy handful of overall wellness. While sports medicine helps me approach clients with a scientific perspective of body mechanics, GR Birth and Wellness allows me to evaluate on a holistic, sustainable level. Everyone's needs are different, but the end goal is always the same: getting you to feel your best where you are now.

I've received training from West Michigan Midwifery to become a certified Prenatal, Birth and Postpartum Doula. As an expecting, new or 3rd time parent, we understand that there are many new obstacles to managing stress. All of the training I've received, as well as working alongside GR Birth & Wellness Owner, Megan Michelotti, has provided me with the ability to ensure you'll receive a judgement-free, supportive environment for your massage, and can also offer information and education wherever possible. Working towards the goal of being your best self where you are now, I try to offer simple, sustainable tips that compliment your life in addition to massage therapy.

My specialties include: deep tissue, Swedish massage, medical massage therapy, sports medicine massage, and prenatal & postpartum massage.

A little about me: After attending school at Aquinas college, I lived in a few different places before landing in Grand Rapids. I live with my husband, Tyler, in Grand Rapids where we share a home with our 2 cats. I have a wild and vast passion for all things food, baking in particular. I have food allergies and type 2 diabetes, but I love to bake what I can't consume: sweet treats. I'm new to the world of plants and have fully immersed myself in hopes of honing in on a green thumb. I'm also an avid runner, so if you see me out for a run, be sure to say hello!"
